It is decorated in fondant and modeling chocolate with royal icing snowflakes and pale pink edible pearls. Zombie/Halloween/Anniversary Cake???

This cake was SO fun! I think mostly because of the story that goes with it. This lady emailed me saying she needed a cake for her 3rd anniversary. It turns out that they got married on Halloween, in Vegas, with a Phantom of the Opera Masquerade theme. So many ways to go with that!! She decided on a zombie themed wedding style cake.
The zombie couple are made out of modeling chocolate and fondant. and the cats and pumpkins are made from fondant.
They also have 3 cats (the first of which they got on their first anniversary). So we put the 3 cats at the bottom of the cake to signify the 3 years they've been married (and they are in Halloween costumes, of coarse Ü)

Linux Birthday Cake

This is a humorous computer themed cake. It is a birthday cake for a computer guy. He loves Linux and doesn't care for Windows. For those of you not familiar with Linux, Tux is the Linux penguin and their logo.
Tux was made with modeling chocolate and the toilet paper roll and stand are gumpaste. The rest is decorated with fondant. The cake is white and chocolate (so when you slice it you get both in each slice). The frosting is a toffee buttercream.

Happy Halloween!

This spooky cake serves 24 party sized pieces. It is a chocolate cake with a chocolate Swiss meringue buttercream icing. The grass is piped on with a vanilla buttercream. The hand is modeling chocolate that is mummified with gum paste. The tombstone is rice-crispy treat covered in fondant.
I thought it turned out spooky, but not too over-the-edge. With Halloween cakes, you have to find a balance. It can't be TOO gross, because you want someone to eat it! Ü

Football Cake

This was a fun cake for a coach's birthday. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE birthday cakes! They are all so different. The football is the cake (chocolate with chocolate toffee buttercream) covered in fondant. The clipboard, tee, pen, whistle, and paper are all made of fondant also. The writing on the paper is made with an edible food-marker and the grass is piped in royal icing.

Princess Ariel

For all the little princesses out there, this is a fun cake! The characters are out of fondant and the dress is the cake. This cake can be made countless different ways. It can easily be adapted to use a Barbie or similar doll instead of a fondant figure(which the kids love because then they have another new toy).
The cake is a coconut cake with a coconut cream filling. We tinted a layer to make it even more fun. This cake will serve 20.

In John Deere Green...

This was a really fun cake for a farmers birthday. It is all edible. The tractor is the cake with a fondant farmer. I added texture to the hay bale by using spun sugar. It is a chocolate cake with white buttercream icing and fondant. The wheels are rice krispy treats covered with fondant.

Zebra Cake

Here is another zebra cake with red accents this time. It is just such a fun cake!
